A Welcome from the President

Organized and chartered in 2000, the Kiwanis Club of Stoughton is approaching its 25th year!

We’re celebrating our past accomplishments as a club, continuing with many of our key endeavors, and looking ahead to some exciting new initiatives–all aligned with our mission of serving the children and youth of our community.

Our club led the charge for the construction of the Stoughton Disc Golf Course in Amundson Park, which opened in 2005. As we approach the course’s 20th year, we are working with the city and community members to update and expand the course and help families discover disc golf as a recreational activity for the whole family that gets kids outside having fun being physically active.

We continue to sponsor two service clubs: the Key Club, which provides students in grades 9-12 at Stoughton High School with opportunities for community service and leadership experience; and Aktion Club, which gives individuals who are cognitively or physically challenged a chance to engage in service projects, socialize, and build friendships.

We also sponsor free, fun, annual events such as Santa’s Workshop, which gives children a chance to decorate a cookie, do a craft activity, get their face painted, and have their picture taken with Santa during Stoughton’s Victorian Holiday Weekend in December.

Is there something we’re up to that sounds like fun? Do you have an idea for some other event or endeavor that you think would be great for the children and youth of Stoughton?

Either way, we’d love to connect with you at one of our events and/or our regular monthly meeting. You can reach out to us at our phone number (texting will get a quicker response than a call) or email address, which are listed on our Contact page.

All the best,
Alfred Skerpan
Stoughton Kiwanis President
