Kiwanis international
Kiwanis International was founded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan. In the early years, members focused on business networking. In 1916, Kiwanis became an international organization with the creation of the Kiwanis Club of Hamilton, Ontario. In 1919, the service changed its focus to service. By 1962, there was worldwide expansion.
Wisconsin
The Wisconsin – Upper Michigan District was established in 1918. Over 100 years later, the Wisconsin – Upper Michigan District remains active with six regions and 180 clubs.
Stoughton
With over 20 years of service to the Stoughton area community, the Kiwanis Club of Stoughton was chartered in 2000. With 15 years of service the Stoughton community, the Kiwanis projects focus on serving children. We team with our sponsored clubs to provide ongoing projects. The Key Club works closely with the Senior Center to assist in lawn care, snow shoveling, house cleaning, tutoring younger students, and mentoring senior citizens in computer skills. The Aktion club creates bat houses and Little Free Libraries
